This is actually pretty sad and low… I absolutely love the hypocrisy of people like you. You stand up for equality and wanting to be heard, but you silence and ridicule beliefs of others. You go out of your way to pull stunts like this. I am a Christian who supports Gay marriage and equality… my friends know this and I stand by them, against other Christians that oppose it… including my own family. However how do you expect me to feel when I come to a website about Christianity to find it hacked, ridiculed, etc?

I spoke to friends of mine about this topic… a few of my gay friends who would like to marry one day… funnily enough, they agreed with me. This website is actually bad publicity for gay marriage rights. You are attacking another organisation because you want to protest and be heard… how is that in ANY way right?
As the owner of a very large website development and internet marketing company myself, what’s stopping me from asking my staff to develop and optimise 100 new anti-gay marriage websites, simply out of protest? The answer is simple… my ethics stand in the way. For someone who was raised by a priest, but still has acceptance and stands up for the rights of others, I feel I have every right to stand up and say I’m offended that you would attack a Christian domain name. This was targeted towards a Christian organisation – it didn’t target somerandomname.org because their opinion doesn’t matter to you.
Protesting like this is simply pathetic. I’m sure the developers of this website all had a good laugh and are happy with the result… but how are the Christian’s supposed to feel about this? Do you honestly think they’ll agree with the actions made upon this domain name? One must wonder how many equality websites will be attacked out of protest by Christians as a direct result… you are provoking them to start a fight against you… who’s struggling for power now?
Funnily enough, if a Christian group did that, I’d still be against it.

I don’t see ACL as being about being gay. It’s about pushing back against the Fred Nile-types who want to use Christianity to impose legal constraints on me having control of my body and my life.
In the USA a female teacher recently got the sack from her Catholic school because her mother’s obituary included the name of this teacher’s female partner, and someone noticed and complained to the school, who sacked her. She was not forcing her beliefs on others at all, but her Catholic employers chose to use their power to negatively affect her life because of their beliefs.
Groups like Australian Christian Lobby do really underhand things to prevent desperate women having pregnancy terminations, like pretending to be a “pregnancy advice service” when they are actually anti-abortion guilt-trippers. Whilst I can see you do have a point, this sort of “Christian Lobby” behaviour is a much lower act than anything the Cat Lovers are ever likely to do.
